UNT subjects to take

Where to study

There is no university degree called blogging, but there are close fields: Journalism, Media Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Film and Television. A bachelor's degree takes 4 years. Journalism is taught, for example, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. For creative programmes, including journalism, applicants take a creative exam instead of UNT profile subjects.

Many creators teach themselves through online courses, editing tutorials and their own mistakes. Some colleges also offer media programmes after grade 9. You can start at school with a school media club, a channel about your hobby or a class project. Just follow the platforms' age rules and never share personal information.

Outlook

Content creators in Kazakhstan work for themselves, at media and production studios, marketing agencies and companies that need their own SMM specialists and authors. Kazakh-language content is growing actively. Competition is high and income can be unstable, so creators with a clear niche, quality content and marketing skills are valued most.
